On Wednesday, the JCrew brand Madewell* opened a store in the Cherry Creek Mall, making it the Mile High City’s first official shop. We took a field trip as soon as possible and today we’re both wearing new Madewell items that are quickly becoming our fall favorites.
Laura picked up the Striped Diary Dress and added brown boots, black tights, and a blue suede belt to accentuate the waist. Jill got the Easygoing Tee in Dot, initially intended for this skirt that has turned out to be tricky to match, but equally appropriate for a casual Friday.
What’s your favorite Madewell fall item?
*According to JCrew’s About page, they introduced Madewell in 2006 as “modern-day interpretation of an American denim label founded in 1937.”
Happy Friday! I hope you all put this post to good use and transition from your day in the office to a fabulous evening on the town. I know that’s what I’ll be doing
I just celebrated my birthday and received the cute polka dot top below (just in time for fall!). Here’s how I plan on dressing it up and dressing it down.
At this time last year, the racks at our favorite stores were packed with prints. Printed dresses, patterned tops, geometric skirts… you get the idea.
This fall, we’re taking it one step further: wearing a top and skirt/trousers in the same print is the new look. It’s typically no small investment to buy a top, skirt (and even shoes!) from the same brand, so be sure to pick a pattern you can mix in with lots of other Staples you already own. We’ll be trying the look out ASAP!
This look is available for pre-order from JCrew (top 98786, skirt 98892).
